Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo has awarded over $1.26 million in grants to 78 organizations across Western New York for 2026.
These funds, inspired by Ralph C. Wilson Jr.โs enduring legacy, bolster local initiatives in areas he valued: caregivers, community assets, design and access, and youth sports.
Organizations like Compeer of Greater Buffalo and Gerard Place each received $20,000 to empower caregiver support services.
Buffalo Arts Studio and Graycliff Conservancy earned funding to advance cultural and historic preservation.
The Alfred Almond Community Sports Association received $50,000 to increase community access to recreational facilities.
Sports groups including 716 Squash and Buffalo Maendeleo Soccer Club were also recognized for expanding youth engagement.
Since 2015, nearly $14 million in legacy funds has supported nonprofits across the eight counties, sustaining Wilsonโs passion for vibrant, healthy communities. Read More... |
